Medicalliance Partners with Brook Group for Clinical Forum Software
Kara Brook and Kathleen Case reunite for a Web design project
Ellicott City, MD, April 11, 2006 — In 1992, Kara Brook and Kathleen Case combined their graphics and marketing skills to create “Maryland Women & Their Historic Handiwork”, a project that honored Maryland women who changed the course of history. The result was a digital quilt with nine squares, each depicting the work of one Maryland woman. Together, Brook and Case designed, produced, and sold over 10,000 posters.
A decade and a half later, the two have joined forces again, to tackle an even larger endeavor. Soon after their first collaboration, Brook transformed her company from a print design shop to digital design and development, ultimately building Brook Group into a premiere Web design, strategy, and content management company. Case parlayed her marketing skills into a career that landed her as Executive Vice President for Medicalliance, a leading national healthcare marketing firm.
So, when Medicalliance needed a Web content management system to create a series of secure extranet sites for her clients, Case knew exactly where to turn. Brook Group’s Web content management system (CMS), Tacklebox, allows for simple Web site creation and maintenance. In January, Case and her team launched the Medicalliance Clinical Forum, powered by Tacklebox. The Forum is a series of password-protected Web sites where information can be shared by doctors, pharmaceutical company staff members, and Medicalliance marketers.
