Tacklebox Features
Personalization
Register your site visitors for special handling, and create access privileges for your Web, intranet, or extranet sites.

The new Registration module, an add-on to the base Tacklebox software, provides the ability to create and manage registered users. Users can be assigned to groups, so if you have specific audiences that need special handling, they can be grouped, and privileges assigned by group. Registration comes in two modes: familiar to many Web users, certain pages require a visitor to log in for access; “extranet” mode requires all visitors to the site must log in to gain access to any page on the site.
A benefit of the registration function is the ability to serve pages based on user registration. Personalization means that that user experience can be customized to restrict or allow access to a given visitor, based on their group privileges. If desired, visitors can be masked from even seeing navigational links to areas unless they have access privileges to those areas. This powerful feature allows you to create an “extranet within a Web site,” in which certain users can see only the sections to which they have access, while others can see the restricted sections and any others on the site.
