Publishing Workflow

Workflows provide internal checks and balances to your Web publishing operation. They are an extremely flexible way for an organization to ensure that Web publishing follows, not dictates, its business processes.

Whether a given piece of content needs to go through multiple hands for final sign-off, or if one person needs the authority to instantly update content on-line, Tacklebox can accommodate that and more. Tacklebox gives you the ability to define both workflow and roles. Individual staff can be pre-designated to author, to review, to approve without authoring or even to assume an editing role where they can change other people’s content, as well as their own. You can assign different workflows to different parts of the site.

In other words, Tacklebox has the power to mimic your internal workflow and create that same order in the Web publishing realm.

Sample workflow: Jim submits article; Kim, the next person in line, disapproves it; Jim edits and resubmits it; Kim approves it; Tracy, the last person, approves it. The article goes live.
