The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is a national nonprofit organization focused on creating cost-effective solutions to current environmental problems.  EDF chose to create the Innovations Exchange as a way for those in the field of environmental management to find basic information and collaborate with one another. Get Green Together

Brook Group was brought in to work with the internal EDF team to promote collaboration and innovation among environmental managers across the country. Our process began with doing research, learning the role of the environmental manager, and what their largest areas of concern are. After establishing project goals we moved into the information architecture phase where we established a scheme that was organized by industry and environmental opportunity. We did a great deal of research into popular green keywords to drive our search strategy and many of our content decisions. Next, our design team developed an interface for the new site that would promote ease of use while remaining consistent with the established EDF brand.

The Tools to get the Job Done

Brook Group worked closely with EDF providing wireframes, navigational maps, research, interface design and files along with all the necessary support for EDF’s programming team to code and implement.
