Help Those Who Help Others

House Of Ruth, Maryland, is one of the nation’s leading domestic violence centers, helping thousands of battered women and their children find safety and security. As part of their “Giving Back” program, Brook Group selected House Of Ruth as this year’s recipient of a host of free Web services.

Community Ties

Rewarding Their Service

Our services included re-organizing and redesigning House Of Ruth’s Web site to make it attractive and easy to use. Since House of Ruth serves so many people, we had to make the site accessible for all audiences, including those with limited computer experience. The design is simple and easy to navigate, enabling users to quickly get to the information they need.

Making It Easy

In addition to the Web site design, we are providing House Of Ruth with free access to our Tacklebox content management system to support easy, HTML-free, distributed publishing throughout the organization. With Tacklebox, anyone can make necessary changes or additions to the site. That way, their content stays relevant and timely, providing the most current information about events and services.

Getting the Proper Recognition

We also worked with House Of Ruth on their identity and branding. Branding is just as important for a non-profit organization as it is for a major corporation. A brand presents an image that distinguishes the organization, strengthens its presence in people’s minds and represents their core attributes and goals. We made a point of emphasizing the existing House Of Ruth logo on the Web site because it depicts the mission of the organization, to provide shelter and safety.
