How to Auto-Focus Potential
Like most non-profits, Vision Workshops—an organization dedicated to the creative motivation of at-risk youth through photography and writing workshops—must simultaneously communicate its message to widely divergent audiences… disadvantaged students, their parents, art patrons, philanthropists and underwriting organizations. Brook Group created a logo and Web site that could balance the concept of creative opportunity with the reality of socio-economic hurdles.
The Approach
Since many of the target audience members have limited computer experience, we had to make sure to make the site as easy-to-use as possible. We wanted to keep it simple and useful. We approached the project from an information architecture perspective and designed a site that would make sense to even the most non-technical user.
Clear Vision
Brook Group synthesized the organization’s key attributes to the tightly focused intersection between creativity and learning. Our branding efforts created a strong identity for the organization, capturing the essence of its mission. We also created a site that was credible, inspirational, and aspirational—common denominators to which we can all relate.
The Results Are In
Vision Workshops now has a professional Web site. Brook Group delivered on its Giving Back Program by donating its services. And most importantly, a few more disadvantaged students are getting a little more advantaged.
