Kara Brook

Kara Brook
President

Kara Brook created Brook Group as a creative marketing and advertising agency more than twenty years ago. An early convert to the digital world, Kara Brook moved the company to the Web in the early 1990’s, where they pioneered creative development for Web sites and became AOL’s first affiliate studio. Recognizing the need for user-friendly Web site management, she envisioned and built an intranet system that did not require users to understand HTML development. The system was first used at the US Department of Justice and over time became Tacklebox, an innovative content management system (CMS). In 2008, the Tacklebox web operation was sold to Calvert School System. Kara Brook is responsible for the company’s strategic development and operational activities.

Today, Kara Brook works with Brook Group clients to improve their internet businesses. Her specialties include advising clients on ways to improve their web operation without knocking the whole site down as well as strategy for internet marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO).

 

Michelle Suazo

Creative Director

With extensive experience in providing elegant, powerful Web design  and usability to a wide variety of clients, Suazo provides the design direction and creative spark to the Brook Group team. As Creative Director, Suazo sets Brook Group’s creative direction, and oversees a highly-skilled team of design professionals. Suazo’s experience and design skills underscore Brook Group’s commitment to visual excellence.

Before joining Brook Group, Suazo served as Creative Director at Grey Advertising’s Interactive Division in New York. 

Suazo has also served as Creative Director for such clients as Bowne International, Goldman Sachs, Visual Communications Group, Stratosphere Multimedia, Idealskin.com, Madison Capital, III Offshore Advisors, Palm Beach Esthetic Center, and Achieve Global.

 

Alyssa Woods

Alyssa Woods
Director of Account Services

Alyssa Woods has been a core member of Brook Group’s management team since 1996. As the Director of Account Services, Woods oversees the day-to-day progress of many of Brook Group’s design projects. She serves as the primary point of contact with clients, insuring that each project stays on track in terms of time, budget and tone, and that clients are apprised of all developments, particularly as they relate to budget and timing issues.

Woods is the point person for Brook Group marketing efforts, and has spent nearly a decade working directly with clients such as AOL on developing proven Web marketing solutions, from banner ads to mini-sites for marketing to customer acquisition and retention programs.
