Reuben Brook Scholarship Foundation
In 2000, Brook Group president Kara Brook founded the Reuben Brook Scholarship Foundation to provide a scholarship for students from Maryland who attend Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and who demonstrate need and academic excellence.
MICA is the oldest fully accredited, degree-granting college of art in the United States. When Kara was starting out, MICA provided her with a scholarship. Now, the Reuben Brook Foundation gives back to the institution that provided Kara with so much support and encouragement when she launched the business that became Brook Group.
In 2008 we completed our $100,000 commitment. Nearly one dozen scholarships have been awarded to date, and will continue to perpetuate 1-2 each year.
