SSi Consulting is the leading provider of business management software and consulting services in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. As their business developed, their Web site stayed the same. They realized that they needed an update to reflect the growth of their company.
All Part of the Plan
SSi hired Brook Group to redesign their Web site to better serve their clients and prospects. The project consisted of several goals. They wanted us to update the current site design to be more user-friendly, revise content to better represent the business and provide an easier means for keeping material current. In an effort to create a customer acquisition engine, we highlighted their services and products, placed a prominent call to action on every page and devised a plan for search engine optimization.
Putting it Together
Brook Group started by conducting a Discovery session to find out what the complaints were about the current site. We suggested the direction and purpose the Web site should have and put together a plan of action. Our designers created a new look and feel for the site while our Information Architect set up a RAD prototype so SSi could see the fleshing out of the navigation and content structure. Our writers reworked the content to fit the new navigation scheme. Our coders then set to work to produce the final site, making it search engine-friendly.
The End Result
The new site excels in clarity and usability. The services and products are more pronounced. The new information architecture makes the site more intuitive. It’s conversion-driven in that each page directs the customer to perform an action. The site appears more current and cutting-edge.
The site will rank highly on search engines because of the techniques used and the content all conforms to the business goals of SSi Consulting. Overall, the site has improved dramatically.
