Our Process
Sometimes to gain the clearest vision, you have to look at a problem through a fresh set of eyes.
Brook Group brings that clarity to bear in a truly collaborative process that has been tested and refined over two decades and a host of business sectors. Together we work with you to set goals and then plot practical paths toward achieving them. And throughout each step of the way, we clarify and define the tasks involved.
While ‘process’ provides a structure for exploration, it should never be confused as the reason for the journey itself. At Brook Group, our goal is to identify the paths that need to be explored, overcome any obstacles that may stand in our way, and ultimately, discover the answers that will help our clients attain their goals. We believe discovery is the heart and soul of innovation, so we have built our methodology on a foundation that leaves no stone unturned.

DISCOVER: Map the Path to Strategic Success |
Discovery is the first of six steps in Brook Group’s process. From brand awareness to research and analysis, we work with you to identify your business’ inner workings—your sales cycles and processes, revenue streams, budget constraints, business goals and competitor analysis—to develop an optimal Profit Map.
Discovery is the most important step of the process. Based on extensive initial interviews, strategic analysis, competitive analysis, brand attributes, key success factors and a qualitative site analysis, we are able to illuminate and understand your company’s Web needs.
Analyze: Describe Your Audience and Map Their Needs |
Knowing how to touch your audience can be your most valuable tool. We work with you from day one to establish exactly the sales and awareness approach that will resonate with your audience—your Marketing Map.
We analyze your current Web traffic patterns, site architecture, accessibility, brand identity support, audience responsiveness, usability —all aspects of what should make the Web work for your business. To further refine audience definition and breadth of subject matter, we conduct an audit of the existing site’s content and organization.
On the technical side, Brook Group translates your “wish list” of functionality into a detailed technical specification that is your project’s Technical Map.
At this stage of the process Brook Group will supply you with a comprehensive report which will outline our recommendations for your project, including but not limited to a technical assessment, quantitative site analysis and suggestions about search engine optimization. In addition, Brook Group will supply suggested solutions for issues that may have come up in the initial interview.
Prototype: Quickly Define Site Navigation and Content |
Brook Group uses its own RAD Web Visualization process to quickly define site navigation and content. The RAD content management tool powered by Brook Group's Tacklebox CMS provides the power to create a working prototype that can help the creative team - including client staff - quickly and easily build a working prototype of their site, creating a navigation structure and entering actual content through an easy to use word processor-like editing tool.
Often work cannot begin on Web sites until designs are approved. The RAD prototype not only provides a fast visualization of site structure and content, but serves as an easy-to-use content development tool, allowing Web sites owners to add content to the prototype site even as the design team works through process of developing creative approaches and mockups. The prototype encourages designers and content creators to work off of each other's ideas, ensuring that the look and feel will be closely integrated with site content and navigation.
Develop: Put Your Plan Into Action |
This is where we create together; developing the designs, content, and navigational flows that make up the visual experiences that will be your audience’s Content Map.
We supply you with a conceptual site view including page templates, a style guide and a map which outlines all the content that needs to be gathered for each field in the site.
Implement: Map Your Project From Blueprint to Deployment |
From the first meeting to launch and beyond, this plan will guide the project to completion. From concept to development, testing to deployment to follow-up support, the plan is a guide for the team — a multi-faceted Project Map.
Implementation involves database development, application development, content integration, prototype, quality assurance, deployment, and post launch support.
Refresh: Refresh, Revisit, Retool |
The launch of the site is not the end of a project. Our goal is to help you stay successful. Our Refresh program is a chance for you to tell us how it’s working and where it can be improved — together we can develop a Success Map for the long term.
In today’s world, technology is constantly evolving and you want your Web site to look fresh and up to date at every turn. Brook Group will continue to work with you, becoming your partner and helping to ensure your future success.
